Default Hamsters awake but hiding?

So my last post was incorrect, my hammies seemed to have moved back in together in their hut. But im a bit curious : my sister ( I know she shouldn't I tried dissuading her..) has been lifting up the hut so see if their awake. On multiple occasions, I've come up to look myself they have been. Not just waking up , they're eyes bright and wide open. They still come out at night i'm just wondering if this is normal.

Side note : I'm trying really hard to stop anyone from lifting up the hut, I know how affecting this can to the hamsters environment.

It's perfectly normal for hamsters to wake up during the day at times. In the wild, they will actually awake several times throughout the day to forage! It's to be expected if your sister is disturbing them quite a lot. You'd be up too if someone continuously opened your door and peeked in wouldn't you? I'd keep trying to persuade her not to lift it. It's really important you don't stress them out too much. Try pointing out to her that it would be the same as someone opening the door in the middle of the night- she wouldn't like it much. Good luck

I often hear Mushu moving about, usually eating, in his hut. And he often comes out to see me if I'm in the room during the day and he's looking for a treat. So, I'd say that's normal. It would be good if you could get your sister to stop looking though, as they need to feel safe in there and have a restful sleep.
