Question Distressed Noises When Drinking

Hello again, guys!

I still need to post pictures of my hammies. But in the meantime, I just noticed one of my dwarf hamsters doing something strange.
They both have small bowls for water. This is just because I've had issues with a water bottle leaking out the blue, and watching them lap up water is also pretty adorable. Getting to the point, one of them just drank from her bowl quickly, squeaked (four chirps, the sequence has usually accompanied moments of discomfort), and wiped her wet paws over her nose. She repeated this a few times, then ran back into her house. Seemed pretty strange.
I've refilled the bowl to a higher point in case she was struggling to reach the water. I was just wondering if there's any precedent for dwarf hamsters doing this?
Of course, if it continues, and she is distressed, I'll give her a bottle again. She's only had the bowl for a few days. I'm also aware that hamster vocalisations can be pretty random.

Cheers for any input

Sounds as though she might have got a little drop of water up her nose or even got hiccups briefly!
If you're not totally sure she's comfortable using the bowl then I would provide both, I always start my hams with both & let them choose, most prefer a bowl but I did have one who never really liked bowls at all & kept the bottle.

I think you might have been right about the hiccups! ^_^ Both are fine with their bowls, it seems
