Default Re: Hot but avoiding anything I do to try and help

Typical contrary hamster behaviour lol! It might be if the tile/ceramic things are new additions she is suspicious and ignoring them. Have you tried a ceramic mug on its side? It's more like a hidey place. In very hot weather I used to put the ceramic pot/mug in the fridge for an hour or so before putting it out in the cage each night before our hammy got up. Last year I used a large terracotta plant pot base and used to put some food on it. Our hammy used to just go and sit on it when it was hot. It's rougher than ceramic. Or a small plant pot on its side instead of a mug. Also as the others say, try and keep the room cooler with a fan (don't have the fan too near the cage) but it can be difficult to cool a room.
