Default Seperating mice?

Hello, sorry i know this is a hamster forum but i wasnt sure where else to post. I bought 3 female mice a couple of weeks ago, two of them were signifcantly bigger so im not sure if theyre from the same litter but they were in the same tank when i purchased them it was only them 3 in there. and everything was fine for a few days then one of the mice started chasing the little one and pouncing on her in which the little one was squeak very loud and ran away until the bully stopped. Recently the other sister has decided to bully the little mouse and now the two big mice sleep together without the little one,so where the little mouse was sleeping i put some bedding and now that sleeping area has been stolen by the two big mice! The big mice wont let the little one sleep with them or eat/drink or go on the wheel if they are near, do i seperate them or not? I knoe females are extremely socialble but is the presence of mice better than not being bullied??

Default Re: Seperating mice?

Aimeehammy, I am sorry to hear that the two bigger mice are bullying your smaller mouse. I know that must be disheartening and worrisome for you. Unfortunately, I have never had any mice so I can't be as much helpful as I wish in giving you any advice. However, if they were my pets, I will air on the side of caution and separate the little one from the other two because I will be afraid that they are preventing her from taking care of her necessities. The other two may even do some actual harm or possibly kill her, too. You may also want to consider copying and posting your request for help on HC's "Miscellaneous Chat" and/or "Other Pets" categories because other members may not notice it in this one. You want to have as many knowledgeable mice owners to help you as possible. I do hope that everything goes well for all three of your mice and you. Best wishes to you all.
