BITRĂ„DE Shelf unit - IKEA

US link of course but still good to see it at least It has a decent height,at the very least enough to comfortably allow a 9 inch Silent Runner and an inch or two of substrate in a wheel corner(but still could have a much deeper burrowing section).

Definitely show the nice German dwarf setups too!The more natural looking and nice to look at the better, since lots of convincing can be required.

Now that would make a good cage on it's back without the shelves in. 40cm high by 72cm square. Off to see if they do them in the Uk

It's a bit different in the Uk - only seems to come in this size and only 30cm "height"

Not sure how effectively ventilation could be accomplished with that one if doing a vertical setup for mice/Chinese hamsters/robos/maybe Gerbils with caution. It is an interesting idea though,if a bit impractical and requiring heavy modification like ventilation, doors, substrate blocking panels, etc. There might be a similar unit with a back though for that setup, and there are already plenty larger cages on the market which would be more cost effective in the UK!
