Default Do Young Syrians sleep a lot?

My Donna sleeps from about 8:30 AM to in the middle of the night. I hear her running in her wheel and burying her food, but by the time I get up she is ready to go back to bed. Is this normal?
I would like to tame her, but when???

That sounds quite normal for some, you could try waking her just a little earlier than she normally wakes, make it worth her while getting up by either feeding at that time or offering some treats, just rustling the substrate or a food bag is often enough to wake them & you do need to do it gently.
If that works then you can gradually make the time earlier until you find something that suits you both for interacting.
If she's up that late in the morning you could try some taming/interaction then too.
