Exclamation New hamster issues

So I got this robo 2 days ago, and most of the time when I checked he's not sleeping in the hideout but he doesn't wanna come out either. So I just want to know if he just scared the need of adjustment or is it something else??

hello, your hamster is probably just getting used to the new environment, I've heard that robos are hard to tame and it takes longer, just leave your robo for another couple of days to adjust more, and don't try to handle her/him during those couple of days, as your hamster will be stressed.

please note that hamsters are active at night, and might only wake up in the morning to drink water or get a snack

if this continues for more than 4 days and your hamster isn't even getting out of her/his hideout at night and only coming out for short periods of time then chances are that you got a pregnant female hamster and she might've given birth inside the hideout and not leaving the nest to feed the babies.

if you didn't find any baby hamsters then you should take her to the vet, and when you take her, make sure you but her in a small (not tiny) cage, along with a hideout (make sure it's not heavy at all) and sprinkle some food around the cage and put a piece of cucumber for a water source (water bottle might spill some drops and make a mess)

I hope I was helpful

Two days is no time at all so he will still be settling in, make sure he has a choice of hideouts & enough cover in his cage to feel safe, give him some to time to gain confidence, just talk to him quietly while you're near to his cage but try not to disturb him other than putting food in or changing water just yet.
You could try doing the tissue trick during this stage, just put some plain white toilet tissue up your sleeve for a few hours then tear into strips & put it in the cage, he may or may not use it for nesting material but either way it will help him get used to your scent.
Once he begins to come out more then you can try introducing your hand into the cage, just lay it flat & wait for him to come to you, may take several attempts but go slow & steady & his confidence will grow.

The above posters said it very well. Hamsters need at least a week to get all settled, but even after a week some aren't fully settled. Unless they seem sickly, aren't eating/drinking, or having bathroom troubles, then there's no need to worry. Like Mirai mentioned, hamsters are most active at night and the times when we as humans are usually sleeping. Congrats on your new ham, they're loads of fun to have around!

Robos are active little hams & can often be out & about during the day as well as at night but it will take time to get that brave!

I have 3 robos currently, my 1st robo took one week to start interacting in a bin, my 2nd robo took 2 weeks before interacting, never tamed her in a bin as she was more fearful than my 1st robo.

My 3rd robo's anniversary is today, 4 mo and I have yet to give her a treat. Not one treat she has taken. I see her more walking around but that's about it. I can talk to her through the glass and she seems to like that. She was a rescue and probably had a rough beginning to life.

So each robo is different. Go real slow otherwise you'll be taking steps backward that are hard to gain back their trust. Let them let you know how fast they want to go and what their limits are

Hi,
Hamsters need time to settle into their new environment. Take it slow and give the hamster the time it needs!
