Though there are TONS of brain toys you can make for your hamster, one semi-simple one to use is a toilet paper tube stuffed full of tissue, then in the center, add a few cheerios and then stuff the tube with more tissue until the treats are fully hidden. Your hamster can solve this is one of two ways, they can pull the tissues out revealing the treats, or they can shred the tube which works equally well! I'm sure if there's a DIY thread on here, there will be some brain toy ideas on there! Best wishes

Thank you! I'm definitely doing that + I'm out tomorrow so I'll look for those "brain toys" then

Re: Chewing Problems!
Looks fun for her. If she climbs the water bottle, you could try strong Velcro on the bottle and the side of the tank. Positioned so she can reach the bottle spout, but not climb up on the bottle. It hopefully keep her from chewing the top ventilation holes and lid.
How is the chewing.?

Re: Chewing Problems!
She certainly has lots of little things to chew on in there that should keep her busy with those teeth! I think it may have been the liner getting her attention initially that's got her a bit obsessed with getting into those corners & chewing, hopefully you can break the habit.
I would try adding things like cardboard boxes & or tubes, disposable things that you can change frequently without actually having to change her layout, maybe hide some of her food in the treat toys you can make then put them into boxes or tubes so she can have fun searching for it & just exploring something different.

Re: Chewing Problems!
Its been a few days and the brain toys and new set up has really helped! I scatter feed all of the food now so she has something to do, she likes to dig so I normally bury it for her! She is very lively and quite the little explorer, which is probably why she was so easy to tame. I guess her curiosity took over any shyness! Thanks for the help.
