I agree with Souffle, as long as you can provide everything they need, there's no reason they wouldn't be happy in smaller cages than you have right now

I agree too, if you can fit in two smaller cages & keep both hams you will all be happy.
Hams often tame better in smaller cages & most dwarf hams enjoy out of cage time with their owners & this can give them plenty to do & make up for less cage space.
I've had two dwarf hams who eventually moved up to a 100x50cm cage but they really were exceptional.

All separated now we kept the very active hammy in the larger cage as he really makes the most of the tubes and toys and the fat lazy one in a slightly smaller as he isn't anywhere near as active! Thank you everyone again for all of your help and suggestions hopefully they'll be happier now x
