Default Talking while asleep

Do your hamster 'talk' in their sleep?

I just hears weird sounds coming from kiki's cage. It sounded like something between the painful sound she makes at the vet and a guinea pig when it talks with a soft voice.

I have heard her make noises before while being asleep, but this time she kept going for 20 seconds or so.
I opened her cage, she kept making sounds.
I moved the bridge that she was sleeping under - she still made sounds and didnt move
I touched the bedding beside her and called her name - still made sounds, still didnt move
I was a bit worried at this point
Then I touch the bag containing meal worms and woop Kiki woke up faster than a lightning stike. Can't miss out on mealworms haha

I have never heard her sleeptalk for that long. In fact I haven't heard her make a sound while sleeping for maybe 7 months. I wonder if she has a nightmare or not, though she did not seem bothered once she was awake. It certainly was a cute experience!

Have you tried anything like this?

Default Re: Talking while asleep

Other animals have dreams and 'sleeptalk', so I think hamsters must have dreams and make little noises! I'm always working in the same room Luna lives in and hear little noises from her nest sometimes- not distressing noises, kind of little soft click almost? I also hear her rolling over to eat snacks in bed a lot
