Re: On his wheel all day?
A platform may be enjoyed for sleeping under and climbing on. Antos dog chews and whimzee dog chews are good for hamster to chew on. When stressed the often run on their wheels or chew.
Drift wood is nice to climb on and they can also chew it.

Re: On his wheel all day?
Like everyone else said I think it's nervous energy too. He'll calm down give him about a week or so without doing anything to his cage so he feels secure and will be more confident hamster. I wouldn't take the wheel out, not to worry!

Re: On his wheel all day?
I'm sure in a few hours you'll find him asleep. Or are you in the US (in which case he'll be awake during the night). He'll need something to do at night so maybe just take the wheel out during the day.

Are hamsters in the UK awake during the day?
Never heard of that but wondered what their time clocks are like in different time zones.

Re: On his wheel all day?
Lol I meant if her hammy is running on the wheel day and night, take it out during the day and then he might get some sleep. Charlie is asleep all day

Re: On his wheel all day?
I'm in the US, so I'll take the wheel out for now and put it back in when it gets a little later. Thanks for the help!

Re: On his wheel all day?
He's finally stopped running and fell asleep!! Of course he's right behind the wheel, but he is sleeping so that's a great sign!
