Default Should I be worried

I have noticed Hugo makes these little clicks noises every now and then. I don think it's his breathing and I think it's like a vocal thing is this possible?

I think you will find he is talking, hamsters can make all different sounds, I would't be worried.

Generally, hamsters are silent creatures, but can react to dust or wake up feeling a bit snuffly due to breathing in warm air inside their nest. Sometimes they will often let out little sniffles or sneezes/hiccups too, but it doesn`t mean they have a respiratory problem, it`s usually normal environmental reactions. However, constant `clicking` while breathing in and out that accompanies lethargy or the hamsters behaviour doesn`t look right, this can indicate a respiratory problem so should see a vet for Baytril or other appropriate antibiotic. Hamsters are usually quite resilient to daily life generally, but it`s a good idea to use your eyes and ears to check on them daily for any signs of change.

Making sure their sleeping chamber is roomy can help and not using a small plastic house that can cause moisture to form inside. cardboard boxes without a floor with a few doors cut into the box are ideal nests and the hamster has room to make a nest and store food without feeling cramped. x

Hugo's nest is very large, Ifound he is actually very vocal he clicks and squeaks gently.
