Default Worrying hamster behaviour

Hey guys! Can someone help me?!

On Tuesday (1st December 2015) I bought 2 male roborovski dwarf hamsters from Pets at Home. The 1 hamster is settling in fine, the other however, I'm quite worried about. He runs along one end of the cage and jumps up the side, he does this continually and I'm very worried he may have a behaviour abnormality. Or is he just anxious and still settling in?! The cage is a mamble rat/hamster 100cm cage so he has plenty of room. Does he have a behaviour abnormality and if so what can I do?

It's very early days yet so I would give your ham more time to settle in before you worry too much, are they living together or is he on his own?
That's a nice big cage which is great but the space can be intimidating for them especially at first so make sure there are lots of hideouts & distractions for him, things like egg boxes with a couple of holes cut in are great as hideouts & places to hide food or treats, toilet roll tubes around the place can be really good too, scatter feeding may also help giving your ham more to do & encouraging natural foraging behaviour.
Keep us posted on how he settles & let us know if you continue to be worried about him.

To be honest, floor space-wise it`s good, but the Mamble is a fairly large rat cage in height as well. I would have opted for something like a Zoozone 1 for a pair of robos. Does the cage have full shelving or are you just using it as the base only and havn`t bothered with shelving or upper levels? It`s never a good idea to have shelving with a pair anyway as it can create territorial behaviour.

If they were mine, I would look for a Zoozone 1 or similar and move all of their current stuff, shavings/bedding and accessories into that to have a fairer layout for them. If the Mamble is all you have though, then you may have to use it unless you can find a more suitable cage for them. Floor space is always good for all hamsters, but keep in mind that you may be giving them more than they require. x

Hey guys! Thankyou so much for your help! He is living with his brother, yes. They get along fine though, I keep an eye out! He seems loads better already, I think he was just confused with being in a huge cage all of a sudden last night I managed to handle him for the first time and I'm so happy! Things are definitely better, and I will keep an eye out if he starts acting strange again. In regards to the cage, I have actually been looking at the zoozone but they are so expensive and I've only just bought this one but I will definitely start saving up for one! Thanks again guys X
