I put one or two things from May's cage in her playpen so that she has some familiarity and doesn't feel like she's somewhere totally alien. I also give her places to hide such as her snooze cube which she likes to retreat to if she feels a little nervous. She was a very nervous little hamster when I first got her so wasn't sure she'd take to a playpen but she seems to really enjoy playtime now.

Thank you ^^
I am not certain it would be a good idea to try with Gil though. I am so worried he would somehow manage to escape the playpen even though I would be right next to him. He is so fast. And even though it's not typical for a robo, Gil loves climbing

Charlie's playpen goes round his cage so I can leave the cage door open and he can go in and out. He's stopped bothering with it now though now he realises he can't get over the top of it, and just stays in his cage lol. I think it's good for them to have a run around somewhere though, and sometimes in a different room from their cage. Charlie has much more fun out of the cage when he's in a different room (I sometimes set up the cardboard castle pen on top of our bed), but when he's in the room where his cage is, he seems more keen to just get back to it. Hope that helps! Glad Poro is more used to the playpen now.

You're not alone with a climbing robo Chiela, Velma's Hector is quite good at it too!
He should be ok with the vertical bars though, as long as there's nothing close to the bars he can climb on he should be safe but I can't understand how you feel, they are so speedy it might be a bit of a challenge to manage him in the play pen!
A lot of people don't seem to get there robos out for playpen time while some others do, I'm sure he has plenty to do in his cage so just go with what you're comfortable with.

Not sure I understand you correctly....
You say;"but I can't understand how you feel". How come?
Would you mind explaining me again, what you meant?
