Good that you removed the house, some great ideas given by the others. Cardboard boxes & tubes are great for hiding and playing in.

He does seem to gobble (like everything else lol) so ill just keep giving it to him and taking it away afterwards just incase. It is the harder one.
Yeah im definitely adding some tubes and egg cartons cut into so its like a little house, just waiting for him to wake up for a bite lol
Hes syrian

I cover him with his blanket but i leave the darkest part uncovered so theres airflow just cover the bit where the window lets light through, he goes grumpy if we dont cover him and barely sleeps lol

Thankyou all for the advice, its brilliant

Was woken up again, because hes so big now he can just stand and pull himself up to chew them. Even adding all the tubes he played for so long and jut before his usual bed time he had to have a chew, did well all night.
I read something about a spray or something you put on the bars? Am i mistaken? What is it called and is it reccomended?

If he`s reaching the bars still, the shelf is allowing him access so may have to be removed. Using a shoe box (remove the lid and turn it upside down) and make a few exit/entry holes in the box will give him a nice dark bed to sleep in and it will also be dark. Zoozone 1 tanks are no that big for a Syrian so the ZZ2 would be a lot better for him, although it wouldn`t fit on the shelving unit you have as it`s 100cm long!

Never use lemon juice or any sprays to deter a hamster. They don`t work and they could potentially cause sores in the corner of the hamster`s mouth from the citric acid. Whoever thought this nonsense up needs looking at.

Three things a hamster needs are: A cage that suits their needs/size, a good wheel and a nice dark, roomy sleeping house. Anything else is enrichment. I would look at a larger tank personally and give him more floor space. x

Even if i removed the shelf and used a shoe box it would be the same height and hed be able to chew still..unless i put it in the middle so he cant use the sides of the cage to clmb up! idea!
Didnt think the sprays were gonna be good news lol..

His wheel is still okay for him as i check every so often that his back isnt arched and it isnt at the moment, as soon as it starts to be i will order him the bigger one x

That is a Zoozone 1?!!! So if it`s the same cage you already have, the dimensions will match. The Zoozone 2 is 100cm long and the bigger of the two. x

The igloo was a favourite of Archie's.
Glad Mr Bojangles's happier with his new toys.
