Hamster wont go to bed :(?!

I used to give Nevie a shoe box but he was weeing in it so now I use waterproof stuff. His nests are 1) an empty ice cream tub (suppose to be a hideout) which he's pretty much buried; 2) a wooden house which I plasticoated on the inside and 3) the corner of his cage behind the ice cream tub where he just piles a load of bedding and sleeps in. They're all close together on the bottom level of his cage.
