Default Crazy chewing!!!

New hammy owner here I have a 4mo Syrian (I'm guessing her age b/c the pet shop didn't know but she was snuggled up with her cagemates) and recently she has been chewing on EVERYTHING. I put a new chew stick in her cage every week but lately I've had to replace them every other day. She rips paper tubes apart in minutes. I've never seen her chewing as much or as intensely as she's been lately. She's in a 20 gallon tank until I can afford a bigger one, and the only things that changed is the addition of a sand bath. She doesn't use the bath as a potty, and doesn't seem to pay much attention at all. What could have started this frenzy chewing phase? She eats, sleeps and plays like normal, this intense obsessive chewing is new

Hi EbKay82 and Welcome to HC.
Hamsters love to chew, so provide as much as possible.
If she's not using the sand bath then I would remove it.
The bendy wooden bridges are great for hamsters to chew on and it keeps their teeth trim.
Also you can get flavoured chew toys to amuse them.
