Good point Nancy - I haven't noticed it wobbling while he's running in it, but it was juddering when it was on the base of the cage (maybe due to his weight lol!). The gap doesn't seem that big between the wheel and the stand at the back. But when I tied the stand down firm on top of the cage, the wheel leaned backwards at the base. I might try getting a new stand (you can buy the stand on its own). It definitely works better hung from the top and is more stable like that.

Sorry Kylie, hijacked your thread a bit! All on the Wodent wheel topic though.

Why spend extra money on another stand? All you need do is stand on the base and grab the axle(part which goes through the two panels and either pull up on the axle till it is straight(Up moves the stand farther from the wheel back panel down moves it closer).

Though we are kinda hijacking in a way it all still is on topic as Kylie needed to see how to attach a WW to their cage and it is never a bad thing to suggest safety of the use of said wheel.

Good point. It doesn't seem bent to the eye but I'll check it out. A new one could be bent anyway too.

Yummy has a rat sized Trixie wheel and she used to chew the bottom of the base, since I started burying it in the substrate she's given up on chewing it.

Thank you for your suggestions! I slid the wheel away from the wall a bit, and she's stopped biting at it. It may have been the distance, or maybe she decided it wasn't worth bothering with it (she'd only been in the cage for a few days), but whatever the reason, it seems to be resolved.
