Aww poor little guy (and you as well).
Lily (my Syrian) was pretty much the same as Zak with running around her cage at every flash and crash...so I moved her cage to the other side of my room furthest to the window and placed a blanket on top...making sure it didn't go too hot inside. I could still hear her running around and making small squeaks. Like Zak, Lily hasn't roused from her bed since the storm finished, so I hope she's OK. I'll check on her properly later on.
I hope Zak doesn't get stressed out again (likewise with my Lily) and I am really glad that you were there to comfort him during the storm (when your neighbour let you lol).
