Default Summer's Coming and Loaf is Acting Strange

Alright, so here's the deal:
Up in the northern hemisphere, it's just been getting warmer and warmer. Like, beach warm. Unfortunately, the air conditioning is not turned on yet, so it remains about 75 degrees or higher in my room where I keep Loaf. Ever since about the beginning of last week, Loaf has started sleeping in places he's never slept before. Last year when spring started, he did not do this, and continued to sleep in his house throughout the year. Is this behavior because of the heat? Maybe he's uncomfortable sleeping in his usual spot because it's too warm? Or is this completely normal?

I would say it's normal as Loaf knows where to go to cool down and be comfortable. Be sure to keep his water changed and cool more often then colder times and a frozen pea or two is a delicious treat in hot days.

Sounds normal to me too, a year on from last spring maybe he's that much older & wiser & more secure too so he may be happier to sleep out in the open now.

You probably know this already, but putting something like a terracotta saucer/plant pot base in the cage can help them keep cool - they can go and lie on it if they feel a bit hot. You could even put it in the fridge for a bit now and then to make sure it is cool when it goes in (the terracotta I mean, not the hamster lol!).

When we had very hot weather last summer, Archie would sleep where he felt cooler, he wood dig away the substrate and sleep against the base. I would wrap ice cubes in a towel and put it along one side of the cage so he would have a chill out bit. I also used a couple of fans.
