Well at one point, I used to own about 3 gerbils, 2 hamsters and Inca my corn snake, and to be honest, I found that Inca was the loudest as she kept knocking things over in her vivarium most nights and still does now lol. But I have found that reading, a nice mug of warm milk and then using good ear plugs definitely help me to sleep.

Romeo doesn't make so much noise, apart from vocalisation now and then lol.

Wow! I can see how it can be comforting having them in there and sometimes more convenient. I would like to try it!

I have two in my room fudge and snowy! , fudge constantly runs on his wheel and snowy constantly chews bars and everything in sight! After time you get used to the running on the wheel, I have anyway but chewing bars, and ragging teeth along tunnels for entertainment from snowy is really really really annoying!!! Despite having chew toys after chew toys and even more chew toys she still thinks ragging teeth along plastic tunnels and biting bars is better!!!

Oreo is in my cage, She can be quite noisy and put food in her wheel and run so if she does that we normally take the wheel out, if she bar chews there is not much I can do about that but its not to bad. It is kinda cool to see what she does at night tough, and its good to be able to hear if she falls and hurts herself or something like that, I also normally take the wheel out on school nights. Overall it can be quite annoying but its not to bad once you get used to it.

I actually find it kind of "relaxing", I'd feel too paranoid having them in another room, even if there's no possible way for them to escape, I'd still worry they will, so hearing them moving around and playing puts me at ease. Maybe I'm just weird.

At one stage I would move the cage outside now and again but after eight years I'm used to it

I have 7 hams in my room (4 Syrians, 2 WW's and a Chinese). And to be honest, I find I can't sleep if I'm away somewhere that doesn't have pets in the room lol. I used to be a pretty light sleeper but, if you allow yourself a few nights, you tend to adjust to the noise they make. Most of mine are in tanks/tank style cages so bar chewing isn't a major problem and everyone has Karlie Wonderland wheels which are virtually silent. The noises I generally hear at night are their lil feet on their wheels and munching noises when they eat and I find them kinda comforting. I know everyone's okay if they're making a little bit of noise

I have 2 dwarfs in my room, just to the side of my bed.
They kept me awake for the first few days, but I've long since gotten used to the noise now.
I will occasionally wake up in the morning to find Syrup staring at me waiting to be fed

I find that the first few nights are difficult, because of going from silence to those little pitter-patter, chomp-chomp noises. But after I've gotten used to those, no problems.

Baklava lately has been filling her wheel with food and running in it, and that wakes me up. But I just roll over and fall asleep again. And the food falls out fairly quickly anyway...until she replaces in her wheel.
