Nests!
Well i've just cleaned Pickles out, and thought i would try out putting her bedding in her attic bedroom seeing as thats what its for! She hardly ever spends any time up there, and it would free up so much space downstairs if she'd have her nest up there!! Knowing Pickles she will just get very cross and drag it all back downstairs! She's such a madam!
Do all you guys put the bedding in the same place every day you clean out or do you encourage them to rearrange?

Re: Nests!
Pickle is a gorgeous girl! Rosie's cage has a bed built into the cage design, so it can't really be moved about, but I put sheets of toilet roll around her cage and she drags it off to whereever she likes xD

Re: Nests!
I think you will find hamsters have minds of their own! if Pickles likes a low down nest then I would just let her be. The attics can get hot and stuffy in summer so it may be best she sleps in the open nest.

Re: Nests!
I let mine choose their own nest and often put bits of new bedding here and there, as they can then gather it all up to where they want.
DC has decided to use her attic as her toilet, which makes it easier to clean!
