Squeaking advise please
Hi I was wondering if anyone could help put my mind at rest. Willow my Syrian has been squeaking lately I can only describe her sounding like Sweep off the Sooty a Show. Her squeaking is usually in the evening and she is quite active, the first time I heard her was last Wednesday night and now again tonight (Sunday). I was wondering how normal is this squeaking as Poppy my first Ham never made a sound. Do they have a variation of squeaks and she is trying to tell me something, or do I need to get her checked out by a vet. She us eating, drinking and do everything else like she should, although she does seem to drinking and urinating a little bit more.
Thank You

Re: Squeaking advise please
Is there any chance she's in heat? Its four days apart and I'm sure you've got a male now haven't you? She might just be calling to him

Re: Squeaking advise please
Mine can be quite vocal (I can hear them from downstairs sometimes!) and they do have a variety of sounds, from contented little chirps so loud 'huffy' squeaking. You said you last heard her Wednesday and again tonight, and that would tie in with a heat cycle (they are on heat every 4 days).

Re: Squeaking advise please
Hi thank you, yes I have recently adopted a little boy and she has got more vocal recently now that he is growing up. I suspected that was the reason for her squeaking she trying to get his attention and right now he is looking for an escape route, lol. This squeaking is a new experience and I just needed a second opinion.
Tony was working away last week and he has heard her for the first time he couldn't believe how loud she was.
Thank you

Thanks everyone
