Question Should i be worried?

Okay so i just got a long haired Syrian, i have had her for 5 days and she has been very sweet during this time. I have started the taming and I'm on the step where she is eating treats off my hand while standing on it. Anyways, last night she woke up about 10 and she went to bed around 5AM, she was basically running all night. Anyways, instead of going in her home like she always does she hid behind her wheel in the corner, i think she has a food stash back there but i don't know. I was worried so i was keeping an eye on her. She did eventually go back into her house, but at some point while i was sleeping she came back out and is behind the wheel again. Should i be worried? or is it just because its a new place and she still isn't quite sure I'm friendly? Until someone says its alright ill be freaking out. So if someone can please help me! I am lost

I'm sure it's absolutely fine. 5 days isn't very long to have your hamster & she's still settling into her cage & working out where she likes her stuff. It's a big upheaval for them when they come from the pet store so it takes a little time. And like you said, she'll still be working out if she thinks you're friendly. It sounds like she's settling in okay if she already trusts you enough to take sunflower seeds. If she's suddenly started avoiding you, make sure she hasn't had any sudden loud noises around her as she may have been spooked. And check she's still eating & drinking fine & then her poo is normal just to be on the safe side but she's probably just finding her feet.

Thanks! She ended up sleeping there for most of the day yesterday, she was active all night last night (could hear the wheel going) and when i woke up this morning she was in her igloo again. Been there all day except for the occasional water/food break. I have been checking her poo just to be on the safe side and its all been normal looking. Luckily she's a little OCD and pees in a corner where she also brings her poo droppings. That will definitely help me out, and i don't think there have been any loud noises, i have been trying to get her used to my tv, i have surround sound (no Subwoofer, so no bass) so i started on the first night very quiet with subtitles on and have been increasing it slightly every time i watch tv, which isn't very often. Plus i have a huge room, like 400 square feet and she's on the opposite side of where my tv is. Basically i live in a guest room away from the main house so i have no other places to keep her.

Welcome to the forum!
No need to worry! I've seen this in mine, they over do it on the wheel and end up sleeping close to it.
She's exhausted herself and has ended up resting next to the wheel.

Hello wanted to give an update, its been about 5 days since she hid behind her wheel, since the last reply which was on the 6th she hasn't slept back there at all. She as actually moved her igloo slightly and made a burrow where she can crawl in through the back. So she now has two exits on her igloo, I've been checking her poo and been checking her eyes and all that, everything is good and she is eating like crazy and as far as i can tell drinking. No weird behavior and I've gotten to the step of taming where she crawls out of the tube and onto my hand. I picked up a bigger storage bin that is about twice as big as her's just not as tall and i've been using that as a playpen. She seems to be doing really good and I'm surprised at how much she already trusts me. Very happy i got back into this!!! (:

Thanks for all the help! and if i have anymore questions or need help ill definitely be back! Thanks again!
