Hello aspenthehamster. It depends on each hamster how quickly they will tame. I have had hamsters tame within days and I have had a hamster who took nearly 3 months to tame. Go at your hammy's pace and be gentle. Following the advice already posted, you should be okay with your hammy fairly soon.

Like DrK said, some hamsters take much longer! So don't worry, you'll get there!
Talk to him as much ad possible, they love it!
