Default Won't nest?

Tiana only came home a few hours ago but she has been active non stop. She was at the store aswell. She has been on her wheel for a long time, she has never had one so presume that's because she's happy and getting some wanted exercise and burning some energy off.

She hasn't shown any interest in a nest though. I had a little house in that she wouldn't go near and left an open pile of bedding. She also has a bendy bridge with bedding in front and another little strawberry house but she isn't showing any signs of preparing a nest even if she doesn't want to sleep yet.

Just finding it a bit odd, she has been awake since I picked her up at 3.30 this afternoon and possibly a while before from the way she was in the tank? Is this common?

Yes it is pixiehollow. Everything is new for her. She may even take a few days before she decides on a nest. She is all interested in everything, but she's also stressed and anxious. Just let her settle in at her own pace.
You know, seeing new hammies coming home (yours and some other new HC hams) has me thinking of maybe giving myself a new year's present. I may be in your shoes again sooner than I thought.

I agree with Dr K, it should all be fine in a few days. Just watch her closely

I will thank you

Ooh DrKMcK that sounds lovely. I didn't think I could do it yet but when I seen her I knew she had to come home. Really is the best healer. I would do anything to have my angel hams back but I know they sent her to me.

I said to mum when I went into the store that I'd have a look and would only bring one home if they were trying to get out. She was and she is so beautifully marked and mum fell in love at first sight too xxx

Given time Tiana well make her nest!

DrK, that would be so great if you got a little ham in the new year!
