2 nests?

Hammy has a nice big nest, that i have pictured in the "show us your nest" thread on here. He has had that same one for a while now and i assumed he was quite happy with it.

But now he's made an other, smaller nest behind his wheel. Could this because he has a "warm snuggly nest" and a "Gah, im too hot in there" nest for cooling down in?

It could be that when hamsters are hot they find things that are a bit cooler in their home to sit/lie against.
Twinkle likes to rest behind her saucer after she does a marathon on it.

See, i have to have him next to the radiator because there is literally nowhere else. Its not like next do as in touching, but near it. I have that radiator turned down also. But its under the window aswell. So i find it difficult to make it not too hot and not too cold.

I think he has just adapted his nests by when the heating is on in the house! What a smart little baby.

I have my 2 in front of the radiators, they have one each and I keep these on a low setting 24/7.
Archie slept outside his igloo a couple of nights ago, he had taken some bedding out and lay on top of it, usually he's amongst it. That only happens every so often.
I agree about them being smart!
