She's fine. Some normal, run of the mill peace and quiet would probably be best. She doesn't need stories or TV chatter in the background. She's a hamster. And they like routine. Carrying on as usual, and giving her a bit of space to resettle herself is really all that's needed.....

I have found that 'white noise' in general (fans, A/C, anything that creates a background hum) seems to mask a lot of neighbor sounds and noises...which is why people zone out and sleep to a TV when the station goes off air....and they often wake up when you turn off the 'static'..... If you want a calm sound environment, you might try something like that.
Thank you very much for your story. It's good to know that others have experienced and overcome the same thing I'm going through. It's comforting to know that she'll be ok. :') I just want her to be happy and feel safe.

I do sleep with a fan so I'm glad that the fan will help. Thank you very much for your suggestions!

Hi there, she'll be fine, she's obviously still a bit traumatised after her terrible time in the petshop.
In time she'll learn to trust you and the wait will be worthwhile!

I've left her be for the past couple of nights. Last night I baked for her and she seemed more at ease.

Ha ha ha. Yep. My boyfriend and I were having a ton of laughs last night while we joked around about Aria and Santa.

Aria started of by going afor his toy bag. As the night progressed she was seen dragging Santa onto the doorstep of her home. We suspect she will reach out for a ransom but she hasn't made any demands thus far.

Love the baked Santa and Aria loves it too!
So sweet oatmeal!
What ingredients did you use?
I think this baked offering is a brilliant way of bonding with your ham and you can tell Aria loves it!

Charlie likes nursery rhymes! He particularly likes 'Over the Rainbow' and 'Run Rabbit Run' by Flannagan and Allen as well! (Which is quite funny because if he knew what the words meant he probably wouldn't like it!). He seems to find it relaxing. Charlie gets freaked like Aria about anything new too. It's probably freaked her more that her wheel has moved than that there is a new piece of wood in the cage. I recently put a piece of granite under Charlie's water bottle and he went awol in his house for a few days but is fine now. Can she still get up to the wheel easily?

Thank you! Yes she can get on it just fine and she's actually back to her normal self. It seems as if she just had a scare but she's fine now.
