Hamster super hyper after running in ball?
Hello! My hamster, Munchie, recently started running in his ball. I've noticed that after I put him back in his cage, he's super hungry, thirsty, and hyper. I understand the hungry and thirsty part (I mean, he just got a good work out), but I'm confused about the hyper thing. You'd think he'd be tired. As soon as he gets back in his cage, he starts running around and climbing his ladder like a maniac. It's kinda cute and doesn't bother me, but does this happen to your hamsters? Thoughts? Reasons why?

Hams usually get all worked up while playing. Sometimes the more they play, the more hyper they get. They eventually crash though. Part of playing is getting excited about playing.....

Re: Hamster super hyper after running in ball?
Like Skeever said, I think they just get a bit over excited. A bit like when I put mine back in after a clean.
Just be sure that you take your hammy out every 20mins or so & either put him back in his cage or offer him food & water.
