Default Scared of depression?

I'm scared my hammy might be depressed.
He used to be very active and enjoy running around everywhere in his ball. I recently move his cage from the side of my bed onto the bed side table and since then he's been... kinda sluggish. He has clean water, food, and bedding (change it once every 2.5-3 weeks). He seems to be stressed?

He doesn't chew his bars or want to go out. He harly goes on his wheel anymore. Whenever he's in his ball he goes to a corner and sits there. Even if I move him to the middle of the room he'll go back near his cage and just sit. He's in his bed a lot.

I'm worried... He has lots of toys but doesnt pay attention to them anymore...

How old is he? He could just be ageing. It's normal for hamsters to slow down and be less active/willing to come out.

He's not near a window or anything like that, that could cause a draft?

Is he cold? Its time for the age-old adage...Winter is coming. I find most creatures slow down with the cold months.

Or there may be something making a noise that's distressing him? Like did you move him closer to a TV or computer?

Try putting him back to his original place and see if that makes a difference. If it does then you'll know it was the move which has upset him, although if the table is near to where he was on the floor I can't see that that would be too big a move - we regularly move Skittle from the lounge to my daughter's bedroom and vice versa and it makes no difference in him whatsoever. Have you given him a brief once-over to see if he's poorly? Is he eating, drinking, pooping and weeing okay? If not then he may need to see the vet as he may be just generally unwell and the move was just coincidental.
