I have witnessed, and now I cannot unsee.

I preferred to think that coprophagy was something kinda cute....like a ham picks up a piece of poo he finds, like a Snickers bar. And eats it. I mean, I knew it wasn't like that, but I had never SEEN....its late at night here, and I was watching Pooky all curled up like a wee infant, nibbling little tiny seeds....then....he is cleaning himself. How cute. Now he's .....



OMG. The dark secret practice of 'night feces' was happening in front of me. The little hindgut fermenter had NO shame!!!!

Last time I ate ....that much.....with such relish...it was a pint of Hagen Daz.....

I just read that the cecum, the organ that is involved in this fermented delicacy, is analogous to the human appendix. Makes you wonder what the appendix originally did for us before becoming obsolete.....
