no sounds?

We've had our little lady for almost a month now. Shes adorable and has settled well....but we've never heard her make a sound. No squeaks or tuts....nothing.
Is this normal?

Very normal some hams are very talkative and chatty, and others you'll never hear a peep out of. My Syrian tuts occasionally, but otherwise is almost silent. I've never heard a single sound out of my robo.

Very normal. Some hamsters are totally quiet, some are very vocal, and some are in between. My previous hamster became more vocal as she got older. I've had my current girl for 5 months and I just heard her squeak for the first time a few days ago. Now she'll make teeth chattering noises occasionally - usually when she's been woken up - but she didn't start doing that until we'd had her for a few weeks and she had settled into a routine.

If you've had her for a month and haven't heard anything, that's probably a good thing. I've found that new hamsters are more likely to make noise if they're scared or irritated.

As the others have said, very normal. My Screech screeches, her sister never made a sound. I think Screech done that for her. lol. Marvin screeched a little last night when he was delivered to me and I looked in his nest. Just like Screech does. My Robo has never made a noise, not even when i have disturbed him or picked him up. He does not even make a noise when he walks / runs around the cage. The only way I know he is out is when he is eating something dry and it is crunchy.

All of mine have done the teeth chattering, but only my girl makes a sound when I pick her up, that kinda sounds like a dove. lol Sometimes when she sleeps too. They only chatter because they smell other hamsters in the room/on my hands/ in the playpen. No squeaks ever.
