Hammies tend to be pretty smart about knowing what they can and can't ingest seeing as they can't vomit it's crucial they don't swallow something that isn't edible!

The weird thing is that I can't find all the pieces of rock that were on the top, unless they weren't there and that's why she could dig into the softer sand underneath. The bed has always been there and we don't really use that room so I'm not sure. Regardless, she was hard at work when I caught her. Her butt was up and she was digging with her front paws and kicking sand out the back. Crazy girl.

Whenever I''m confronted with a mystery like that? I make them depouch! In front of me.
Humiliating or not, they need to know there is a LAW, so they can PROPERLY disregard it.
