Default Is my hammy distressed?

Hey everyone!

So my Robo dwarf Snowy has been with us almost two weeks, she was adopted and is about 15 weeks old. She was in adoption a long time and sice we've had her she's seemed okay but she is very skittish, shy and scared but that is to be expected.

I'm slightly worried tho, as I always am, that there may be something wrong. She doesn't come out of her nest much and she hasn't once ran in her wheel (she didn't have a wheel or toys in the adoption centre), she's also stopped climbing like she did before on her hanging treats. She digs a lot and likes to burrow, but for the last 15 minutes she's continuously digging at the bottom of her cage. She dug her way through all the woodshavings and kicked them all out the way and has just been scratching away at the plastic floor of her cage in the corner underneath her platform.

Should I be worried about this? She won't stop, I try and get her to move away but she gets so scared when I go near her then carries on again.

I'm worried she may be under stress ):

Default Re: Is my hammy distressed?

Some Robos are very skittish and it sounds like she is just taking her time to settle in. She probably is still stressed by the move but be patient with her and hopefully she will calm down a bit. Also, remember that you don't know what she is doing while you're asleep, so unless you're awake all night watching her, she could easily be doing things like running on her wheel then.
