My boys and girl really want to "get together"!

I use the Boxo and I and my hammies love it. I also give them Kaytee Clean and Cozy because I like the color...Birthday Cake. I have always had mixed sexes of hammies and unless I actually put them near each other, like putting a female next to a males cage, they don't seem to mind at all. If I put them together , of course they want to meet. If the female isn't in heat, she wants to attack the male. The males don't care if the female's in heat or not, they go crazy either way. Just keep them on opposite sides of the room.

I keep them on opposite sides of the room but they still go nuts. lol My girl didn't act aggressive when she sniffed Gizmo through his cage. She did want to get closer though (not in heat then). They are all spazzes! lol

To be honest I think its mostly luck. We do keep them on opposite sides of the room and Eggbiscuit is in a tank but she used to be in a barred cage and we've never really had any problems. Muddle does love girly hamsters and anything that smells like a girly will get licked a lot but apart from that they seem to just get on with it and ignore each other

Last night they weren't paying attention to one another, so that was nice. Sometimes all 3 want in the playpen at the same time and obviously can't. That gets tricky cause they do a lot to get my attention- Penny jumps up and down on her house while scratching the front tank with her front feet and Wicket chews the bars. Gizmo does stand up in his tank. They don't understand the concept if taking turns. lol

We have 2 male Syrians and 2 female Syrians, who often all go in their balls at the same time and often bump into one another! The girls really aren't too bothered at all, the boys occasionally follow the girls for a bit, well George does lol, Boris is way more interested in wizzing round as fast as possible and getting under everyones feet lol. I think they just get used it

But I do always wash my hands inbetween holding the girls and boys, as if I hold the girls before holding George, he doesn't stop licking my hands... :')

I have to say though, in my case, my girls are just as chilled out as the boys! Boris the crazy ham of the family But the girls are home bred and have been with us from day one

I haven't thought about putting all three in balls at the same time. That could be funny. I would definitely need strong tape to keep the ball from opening. No babies! lol

I can't wash my hands before each handle because I have dry hands and eczema. I wash them a lot already and the more I do, the more my hands flare up. I don't NOT wash my hands when I really should though. lol

It is very funny having all 4 rolling round at the same time! but yes, the balls definitely need to be secure! lol

And ah yes, I have eczema too so completely understand! I only was them once inbetween the boys and girls though and I manage with that

I try to wash between every ham. I'm doing double duty and using hand sanitizer too when touching Coffee as he's effectively in quarantine right now until I know he doesn't have anything my other hams could get. SO and I both have super dry skin but since were coming to spring it's not so bad. I use the bath and body works soaps and sanitizer though.

I keep handling them back and forth though. Penny wants out, put her in, boys want out, she wants back out.. Basically all night til I leave the room. lol It bugs me to ignore her when she wants out. She's really taken to crawling up my arm. lol My hands are very small so I don't think she feels secure in them.

I do have a bottle of hand sanitizer I use in the room though after cage cleans (even though I use gloves).
