Unhappy HELP! New hamster troubles :(

I just bought a hamster a couple of days ago and he has always been really confident and interested in everything however today, he woke up at lot later that usual and wouldn't come out of his house. Went I moved his house downstairs (in his cage) he came out but was really twitchy and jumpy. He went to the back on his cage and up his tube. I'm worried about why he was twitchy and didn't want to come out his bed. He is now playing on his wheel like normal but I don't want to ignore his behaviour. Don't want to be doing anything wrong

I think he may of just been a bit startled.
As he is new, it's normal for them to be a bit jumpy, especially if you move something in his cage as he is still getting used to his surroundings, new scents and of course, you! He may of never had much human interaction before, so expect him to be a little bit nervous until his taming is underway.
Don't worry though, he should be better once settled in and more used to you! Little baby steps

SinNyx has given great advice, make sure you are moving at your hamsters pace, not your own. Even though you are ready to look at him, and pet him and love him, he is still getting to know his new house, so it is best to give him time to discover it all before moving anything.
But he will get better with time, and patience. x

Red face Re: HELP! New hamster troubles :(

Thankyou I am going to take it slow and when he is ready. Hopefully he will purk up soon so we can get on with his training
