Question Change in behaviour.

Apollo usually has a set routine when he wakes up, though tonight has got up for his wee and nibble then gone back into bed. Spoke softly to him to see if he will come out but started chattering. Assuming this means 'leave me alone' ...do our little ones sometimes go in these moods?

Don't want to stress him by getting him out of nest, he's been out to eat and wee. Just wondered whether this is sometimes usual behaviour with Syrians. Apollo is young, just over 3months old.

Default Re: Change in behaviour.

It's normal for them to come out for food and a wee. Apollo probably does it more often than you notice

Also a change in behaviour might be because of the fireworks. Hammies do get affected by them and they tend to stay in their nest more.

The chattering is like you say, a sign that they don't want to come out and is normal too. There are times when I'm adding to my hammy's food bowl and he's in his nest, he'll chatter. It's a bit ungrateful of him but it's just a warning to say 'Don't think I can't see you touching my things.'

That makes perfect sense Nush, thank you. He's been a bit better last night and once he's out playing he seems to love it.
