Hi there, this is the first time I've ever owned a hamster. I have a male Syrian called Elmo. I'm really worried because all he does his spend time in his bed! I've had him for a month and a half now and he's okay when I handle him and when he's out of his cage in his ball but when I put home back in he goes straight to his bed and stays there. Any ideas what could be wrong?
Well I'm awake most nights so I'm around to check on him and he doesn't get up during the night unless I manage to lire him out with a treat. Is this normal?
