Post Flooding Bin Cage

Hey guys! I just had a question, that may be you guys could enlighten me on. My oldest robo hamster, Pluto(10 months), has been flooding his bin cage a lot. I first thought it was his water bottle, so I bought a replacement through the mail since I was unable to leave my college campus. I got the replacement, looked to girly for my hamster, so I traded the water bottle from Venus's cage, to give her the girly one and him the more standard water bottle. I knew hers wasn't broken, but yet again he flooded his cage. Today, I bought him a new water bottle today at the store, and I am hoping that he doesn't flood his cage again.
So, is it realistic to believe he is doing it by himself? I am not sure what to do if the new water bottle leaks too. Is there a way I can prevent him from doing this? He ruined his one chew toy, it got soaked, and it looked absolutely nasty. I had to throw it away, and buy a new one. I think he is being a little sassy rebel haha. Who knows.

Humphrey, one of my robos, had a suddenly empty bottle one morning and a very wet cage too. I panicked at the thought of him being without water! I put another bottle in and exactly the same thing happened the next morning. I assumed he was doing it. But I thought I'd try a third bottle and it hasn't happened since. Hope yours is the same.

What about trying a different kind of drinking system? There's one called the Edstrom that has a different kind of valve, not the ball in the end of the spout. Might be worth a try!
