Haha. I'm hoping for your sake neither of them try it. If i was you i'd invest in some ear plugs and just to be on the safe side the fluffiest,thickest pair of ears muffs you can find to put over the top

Well decided against the silent spinner the 12inch is just too big!! Wish they did a 10 inch. So got a wooden wheel for rats and degus from pets at home. Exactly the same as the karlie. Have plasti-koted will be going in tomorrow night.

Fingers crossed my sod uses his wodent tonight for what it was intended

Oh, I'm so sorry he's doing this, but they really are such wretched little furballs. I also bought a 12 inch silent spinner. (I buy through online, so I didn't realize how big it is). It was useless for me. So far, none of mine have picked up that little trick with their food. Only Ted E has the Wodent Wheel. The dwarfs have an 8" silent spinner each and Patches has an 10-11" homemade wheel made for her by a Hamster Central member. So, I'll hope Mr Ted E. behaves himself. My only hope is that his food is in another tank and not in the one his wheel is in.

While the 12" Silent Spinner looks massive a Syrian can use it no problem. When my first ham Ratboy did this I'd empty his wheel once, and if he did it again I'd detach his wheel from the cage.

Every hamster I've ever had has done this and I agree it's infuriating! I've tried removing to food but it just seems to make them more determined! After not long at all they do realise it's not the most comfortable running experience and will move the food back out themselves. Popcorn did this last week but it was only one night thankfully. Unfortunately you need to find a way to deal with the noise - can you move the cage overnight?
