Question PUPS! Is this normal?

I have 12, 3 week old syrian pups and their mother named Mama. Mama is very social with humans. The babies, however, seem to be terrified of humans and upon catching one and pulling it out of the cage (Mama doesn't seem to mind) they will urinate all over your hand. Is this normal? They don't mind me putting my hand in the cage to remove food bowls or treats, they even run over my hands and come to it sniffing and nudging it as if it were a play thing. I want to socialize them as much as possible in next couple weeks as some of them will be going to homes of children, but I do not want to stress them. I am new to this and any advice would be welcome.

I would guess it's pretty normal since he have never been held before. Just take it really slow with them, like you are taming a new ham.

At three weeks, their eyes have recently opened so they are seeing everything for the first time. This can scare them for awhile when they first see you. I bet you can have them tame by five weeks with daily attention between now and then. I suggest talking to them calmly as you approach, if you haven't already been, and offer small treats from your hand. They will associate you with good things by your voice and food, then will be more agreeable to being picked up. Best of luck!

Instead of grabbing them to get them out, just put your hand in and let them get used to it. When they're used to it and climbing on, you can start to slowly lift your hand, then put it down. Build up slowly and soon enough they'll be running over to climb on the hand and get out to play
