Scared Hamster ?

Ever since Pepsi bit me he has been very scared.Every time i try to stroke him he will jump away from me.I even tried stroking but nothing is working.How can i bond with him again ?

How long have you had pepsi? Was he tame before and something changed or has he been like this since you got him.

If you are scared of him bitting you, chances are you will not be relaxed and calm when handling him and he may respond to that.

I've had about 4 nibbles today from my semi-tame syrian. It is definitely about confidence when it comes to getting their trust, as soon as I hesitate he gets uppity with me. I often hold my hand in his cage and let him paw/sniff at it and it seems to work, a couple of hand fed treats really get him in the mood for attention.

Maybe try getting him to come to you by placing something delicious (but healthy if you can :P ) on your hand and seeing if he will go for it.

I got bitten by my new hamster twice! But I was so happy because he walked onto my hand yesterday and everytime I put him down he wanted to come back on! Just keep trying, dont give up
