The best thing to do would make sure your bedding is 2inches high ATLEAST,so i doesn't hurt its legs.If possible maybe even lower the platform? Also maybe put a hammock in for a soft landing. Also if it does hurt your hammys legs,Take away the second floor.
Best Wishes

I had to look in 3 different cities before finding a petsmart that carried hammocks but I finally found one and will see if it fits when I get home. I don't know why they didn't just put one large platform going all the way across the cage seems to me that would give them more room and there's a lot of wasted space but hopefully I can make an even bigger cage for him soon. Thanks for all the tips!
