Re: had it up to here!!!
some hammies like the taste of lemon, you might try the spray they use to keep dogs from chewing, we tried it with one of ours it worked for a while but you have to reapply every week until they get the idea or break the habit.

Re: had it up to here!!!
Heres an example just from this evening. Skye woke up around 7, ate some food and rummaged around her cage for a while. Got her out for a cuddle and a fuss, after 5 minutes she got nippy so I put her in her big run with a wheel, seesaw, swing, toilet rolls, pot of chinchilla sand and some of her fave food. She put the food in her cheeks then spent the next 5 mins trying to get under the run, then the next ten trying to clmb out of it. I put her back in her cage. She emptied her cheeks. She has a wheel which is a a position she cant knock it over and has since been pushing her tube connection against the edge of the cage (a lot of banging in the process) and climbing on it, going onto her hind legs and falling off as she cant reach the top of the cage. x

Re: had it up to here!!!
I agree a cage change might be best in the situation now, as there seems no other options.

Re: had it up to here!!!
You may have to empty out her cage of all toys/tubes/wheels at night for a little while, other than "safe" chew toys like apple wood sticks and cardboard tubes to shred, etc. I know it sounds kind of mean, but think of it as only a temporary measure till she develops new habits to replace the old ones.
Being sleep deprived is no fun.

Re: had it up to here!!!
Could you stick some of her things to the base of the cage? One of mine kept pushing her coconut house off the and onto her flying saucer, so I stuck it down with a little Velcro on the base. I also stuck down the wheel and flying saucer as she was pushing them against the side and they wouldn't turn.
