Kicking Bedding/ Sawdust out.

Hi Everyone.

I'm just wondering if anyone could help?

Flo has been kicking her bedding/ sawdust out as you see in the pictures, she's been moving A LOT of it into her tubes in which she has now blocked! she's done it before and i've simply emptied it but i found it a bit weird she does it to her bin cage. Does anyone know what this means?, maybe she's bored?.

I don't mind her doing it if it's harmless but it's just a pain to have to clear up and put back every time.

How can i be mad at this little face?

Ooops. When you cut out the side of the bin you went a bit too low. You needed to leave all 4 sides intact for at least 6 inches or so from the bottom...maybe even a little more. Then she couldn't push the litter out. Maybe you could cover up the side again with some hard plastic?

Yeah i thought this when i done it, had to go lower as some of the plastic split

Knew she may do this, i Could possibly cover it up. She seems to be doing it in her other cages too though which is annoying

Aww you could nt sam kicks some bedding etc out but not to that extent I agree maybe the base is a bit. Shallow and when flo is moving it round it's going everywhere

LOL She is Sandy Bear, my first hammy. She was the mother of two beautiful litters, one litter of 16 pups and one litter of 3 pups. Best mama ever. She is gone now, but she stays my avatar and also stays in my heart.

She does look like Flo
