Darcy's noises!!
I have fallen in love with Darcy within seconds of seeing her! However when I hold her she clicks, its a very quiet click and she just sat on my hand, seams content she doesn't bite. Ive read a few threads about hammys clicking but they seam to contradict each other (or I misunderstood them, which is highly likely). She wasnt agressive or anything but just would like to know if they click when scared or happy or both? She seams a very happy hammy now that I have given her cage a good scrub, clean substrate, food and water I can put my hand in the nest and she doesnt bite just climbs up onto me. Could it be her trying to talk to my 3 baby boys? I would get a video of the clicking - Ive tried but its so quiet the microphone doesnt pick it up. I will try again at some point but im letting her sleep at the moment as its been a busy day for her!
Only noises mine have ever made are squeeking - Russian boys only when Percy stands on Alfie and he doesnt like it but never gets to anything more than a squeek. Finley my Syrian has squeeked and hissed agressively when he was at the vets when they tried to pick him up and a couple times has squeeked quite softly stood by his door until I let him out or when I have given him a treat. None of them have clicked.... is it a girl thing?
