Hamster greetings :')

So I've had my little hammy for over a year now, and he never ceases to warm our hearts! :') Every night, when we watch TV or sit together in the room, he usually comes out to drink water or use his potty. He never fails to look at us through the bars, it's so cute! :') Now I first believed he only did this for his treats that my dad spoils him with, BUT he sometimes pushes the treat away :O and continues to look at us/listen.
Now we do talk to him a lot, yes I confess with a baby-ish voice (because he's just too cute!). Could that be why he looks through the bars- to communicate? Or is this a sign of distress that I am missing? :S Does anyone else experience this?
My mom thinks he is a special hammy for this, which I guess could be right. I mean the little boy won a stare down with a big, fierce cat! :P

He's probably just curious Every time i go in the room Topaz jumps on top of her house and just watches me. Usually, it means she wants to come out or just wants attention. I know i'd be looking out of the bars a lot if i was a hamster!
When Boppit our gerbil comes up and looks at me she's usually after food.

Ow that's sooo sweet maybe the ham wants to come out? Or just loves you guys! Only one of my hams is consistently interested in what's going on outside the cage. Emi keeps asking to come out in the morning when I'm getting ready for work! He comes up to the door, looks, then climbs the bars right to the top until I open the door :')

Our Pepsi is such a cheeky fluff!! We have to hand feed her sometimes!! She will be looking into and sniffing her food bowl but win't eat any. We then take the food bowl and give her the peices by hand and off she runs with it, then comes back for more!! Either that or she pouches it all then waddles off with pouches full!!
