Why does Hammie poop in ball?
 

Hi all,

Just a quick question, does any of yall's hamsters wait untill you put them into their zoomer ball to go #2? The past couple of times I put Freddy into his ball, he has pooped himself silly. Just wondering if you all have this problem and how you handled it.

I think Hamster just always naturally pop, and they seem to poop more when they are excited, Mine have always made little turds while running in their ball, so long as they arnt really running I wouldnt be alarmed :)

Geez, Cori is SO bad with this, but Clover would NEVER poo in her ball! Tyr just doesn't like the ball, but when he had the ball wheel, he was just plain nasty! :roll:

the only thing you can do is empty it every five minutes or so otherwise the rattle will drive you mad and they can fall out the ventilation holes...

Whisper doesn't pee or poop in her ball. SHe runs and stands by her home until I take her out and then she does everything. Bandit poops and pees up a storm. I clean his ball everynight after he is done running.
