Exclamation Cyrus is up a little at night and up loads in the day.

Hi
She is up like 2/3 hours in the night and like loads of hours in the day.
She's a funny hamster she never likes to be alone.
She is a russian winter white. (1 year 11 months)
Any ideas why she is up.
And is it okay for her to be up?

One of my syrians is like that. Doesn't seem to have harmed him though as he's 21 months and fit as a flea and happy natured.

Hamsters aren't actually nocturnal. They are most active at dawn and dusk but will come out during the day to get food and water. Also, sleeping patterns will vary from hamster to hamster just as it would with people.

I didn't realize that they weren't nocturnal, but it makes sense. My hamster, Libra, was awake yesterday evening from about 6 til around midnight, and then this morning from probably 9 to noon.

Perfectly normal as others have said. All three of my Winter Whites are up a lot during the day.
