Question molting =bad mood?

Hi guys !!
my lh male is currently molting, his colour is coming much stronger and with ticking and cheek flashes that he was missing.
he seems abit grumpy when out atm,
we have had some decorating work going, and with the fireworks, but he is in a quiet area.
I was wondering if its normal to make them grumpy?
thanks for reading!

I'm not sure, as I don't know much about syrians, but could it be that he's itchy and a bit uncomfortable while his fur is shedding and new fur is coming in?

he is cleaning lots more, has a scratch a little, the new fur is coming streight through, alot stronger in colour. so it could be he is itchy and that made him grumpy

brushing does help the malting process on all animals, so if he's happy to let you, brush him!

he lays on your hand for cuddles as it is, i used to brush him to get bedding out his fur, but carefresh into too bad with that, i will give him a good brush, i didnt know if it pulling at loose fur will iritate him, normally no fur comes off with a brush, only gets rid of notting and bedding

It makes horses feel better too... any fur you get, put it out in the garden and the birds will take it for their nests!

Used to do that with my dogs fur - the birds would go nuts for it!

They do don't they? I used to work for an old lady (cleaning her home) she often encouraged the birds into her garden so I gave her some from when my horse was molting... she said it was gone in 5 minutes!
